Jeffreys Bay beaches earn blue flag status

The tourism industry in the small town of Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape has been boosted ahead of the summer festive season. Two beaches from the town have been awarded a Blue Flag status. The iconic blue flag status is awarded internationally to beaches with good water quality, safety and environmental management.
