In this episode of Project NEXUS, we dive back into the ST185 Toyota Celica GT-Four to fix our remaining engine and turbo issues on the 3SGTE!
After discovering oil leaking from the exhaust side of our turbo setup, and being smoked out in the shed from the burning oil, we pull the manifold off, inspect the damage, and compare our CT26 options side-by-side—including the stock 38mm OEM unit, a 48mm Garrett-spec high-flow, and an upgraded 58mm Kinugawa CT26 replacement.
We reinstall the factory exhaust manifold to keep the top-mount intercooler setup, button up the upgraded turbo, route a custom silicone air intake with the relocated AFM, drop in a fresh battery, and fire the 3SGTE up to test our full engine and gearbox refresh.
