The Rise and Fall of America’s Biggest Electronics Empire

Circuit City was once one of the biggest electronics retailers in America. With hundreds of stores and billions of dollars in sales, it became the place millions of Americans went to buy televisions, computers, stereos, video games, and the latest technology. But the company that helped build America's electronics retail industry eventually disappeared. So what happened? In this documentary, we explore the incredible rise of Circuit City, its massive expansion, the decisions that weakened the company, the rise of Best Buy and online shopping, the 2008 financial crisis, and the final liquidation that brought the electronics giant to an end. From a small television store in Virginia to a nationwide retail empire—and eventually to empty stores and a vanished brand—this is the story of how Circuit City rose, dominated American electronics, and ultimately collapsed. #CircuitCity #BusinessHistory #AmericanHistory #RetailHistory #Documentary #ForgottenAmerica #CorporateHistory
