Where Part 1 explored the journey of questioning, Part 2 places the arguments themselves under examination. These 15 original songs explore the foundations of belief and disbelief, the origins of morality, the claims of divine authority, the burden of proof, the nature of consciousness, and the philosophical questions that have occupied human thought for centuries. The purpose is neither conversion nor condemnation. Religious claims are not automatically true because they are held sacred. Nonreligious claims are not automatically true because they reject the supernatural. Both must withstand examination. An argument is not strengthened by the number of people who believe it, the authority of the person presenting it, or the emotional comfort it provides. Its strength rests upon its reasoning, its evidence, and its ability to withstand scrutiny. Throughout this collection, the questions grow more demanding. Who establishes the law? What gives authority its legitimacy? Where does morality originate? Can the reasoning used to judge one belief withstand being applied to another? And perhaps most importantly: *Are we seeking what is true, or defending what we have already decided to believe?* These songs offer examinations, challenges, and perspectives. They do not require the listener to agree. Listen. Question. Consider the arguments.
