Inaugural Ride on Miami-Dade's FIRST Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)!

In today's video, we check out Miami-Dade County's first ever Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The grand opening event included an inaugural ride with the mayor and other elected officials as well as a tour of the new BRT station - of which there are 14 in total along the 20-mile corridor. Learn about how this is trying to improve travel time and ridership in hopes of one day converting to rail. For now, the station process mirrors a train station with pre-board paying, level platforms and as for the ride itself, traffic signal priority allows the electric buses to cruise through intersections uninterrupted.
