She couldn't hear the conspiracy clearly, only the smell of food—could it really save her father?

Su Yuanyuan, a hard-of-hearing young girl, enters the imperial palace dreaming of the royal kitchen. She mishears all the vicious palace scheming as food talks. The noble lady’s provocation becomes a roast chicken feast; the eunuch’s threat sounds like offering fish for treatment. With ginger candy and warm congee, she wins the favor of the Emperor and Dowager Empress. When her father is framed in a grain relief corruption case, she spots hidden clues from broken seals and travel dates. She helps the emperor root out corrupt officials. She turns down glory, only wishing common folks have enough to eat. Happy ending: her father is reinstated, villains fall, and romance blooms.#ShortDrama #HistoricalDrama #HardOfHearingHeroine #PalaceDrama #FoodAndMystery #RevengeDrama #CookingStory #AncientCourt
