EN: ➣ Marrakech is the pulsing heart of Morocco. It earned its nickname, the "Red City," thanks to its red sandstone walls and buildings, which create a unique atmosphere at sunset. It is a place where ancient history meets modern luxury. ➣ With its chaotic markets, luxurious gardens (like Jardin Majorelle), and the restless energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, Marrakech is more than just a city. It is an assault on all the senses at once – the scent of spices, the roar of motorbikes, and colors you won't see anywhere else. ➣ The Koutoubia Mosque is the city’s landmark and a focal point visible from almost every corner of Marrakech. Interestingly, its minaret stands 77 meters high and served as the model for the famous Giralda in Seville. While entry is permitted only to Muslims, the surrounding orange groves are perfect for photos and videos. There is even a local law stating that no building in the city can be taller than a palm tree, ensuring the Koutoubia minaret remains the dominant feature of the skyline. ➣ Tajine is not just the name of the meal, but also the special clay pot with a cone-shaped lid in which the dish is prepared. Thanks to the lid's shape, steam circulates during cooking, keeping the meat and vegetables incredibly succulent. The most common types include lamb with prunes, chicken with preserved lemons and olives, or a purely vegetable tajine. It is a symbol of hospitality and is traditionally eaten by hand using bread. SK: ➣ Marrákeš je pulzujúcim srdcom Maroka. Svoju prezývku získal vďaka stenám a budovám z červeného pieskovca, ktoré pri západe slnka vytvárajú neopakovateľnú atmosféru. Je to mesto, kde sa stretáva dávna história s moderným luxusom. ➣ Chaotické trhy, luxusné záhrady (Majorelle) a neutíchajúca energia na námestí Jemaa el-Fnaa. Marrákeš nie je len mesto, je to útok na všetky zmysly naraz – vône korenia, hluk motoriek a farby, ktoré inde neuvidíte.“ ➣ Mešita Koutoubia je dominanta mesta a orientačný bod, ktorý uvidíš takmer z každého kúta Marrákeša. Zaujímavosťou je že jej minaret je vysoký 77 metrov a slúžil ako vzor pre slávnu Giraldu v Seville. Vstup dovnútra je povolený len moslimom, ale okolie s pomarančovníkmi je ideálne na fotky a videá. V Marrákeši platí zákon, že žiadna budova v meste nesmie byť vyššia ako palma, aby nezatienila práve minaret Koutoubie. ➣ Tajine (Tažín) je nielen jedlo, ale aj názov pre špeciálnu hlinenú nádobu s kužeľovitým vekom, v ktorej sa pokrm pripravuje. Vďaka tvaru pokrievky para cirkuluje, čím mäso a zelenina zostávajú neskutočne šťavnaté. Najčastejšie druhy sú jahňacie so sušenými slivkami, kuracie s nakladanými citrónmi a olivami alebo čisto zeleninový tajine. Je to symbol pohostinnosti. Jedáva sa zvyčajne rukami.
