The 2026 United States Senate map is changing quickly, and the newest state-level polls show why several races deserve close attention. In this video, we break down the latest polling numbers from the key Senate contests, focusing on candidate support, party affiliation, polling margins, and the differences between individual surveys. In Georgia, recent polling has placed Democrat Jon Ossoff ahead of Republican Mike Collins, including a YouGov result of fifty-two percent to forty-two percent among likely voters. In North Carolina, YouGov measured Democrat Roy Cooper at fifty-three percent and Republican Michael Whatley at forty-one percent. Michigan has also moved between polls. A September Glengariff survey showed Republican Mike Rogers at forty-six percent and Democrat Abdul El-Sayed at forty-four percent, but a later Suffolk University poll showed El-Sayed ahead forty-seven percent to forty percent. In Texas, multiple recent surveys have shown Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton separated by relatively small margins, while a Marist poll reported Talarico at fifty percent and Paxton at forty-four percent. Iowa is producing some of the biggest differences between pollsters. Marist measured Democrat Josh Turek at fifty percent and Republican Ashley Hinson at forty-two percent, while Trafalgar had Hinson ahead forty-four percent to forty-two percent. The current RealClearPolling average has the candidates separated by less than one percentage point. We also examine the latest numbers from Ohio, Maine, Alaska, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Kansas, South Carolina and Nebraska, comparing the surveys state by state rather than relying on a single national number. In Alaska, for example, the RealClearPolling average currently has Mary Peltola at fifty point three percent and Dan Sullivan at forty-eight percent. These polls are snapshots, not election results. The purpose of this analysis is to follow how voter preferences are changing as the 2026 midterm elections approach.
