10 Years of the most adorable friendship, Bucket🐂 & Colton🐶 Their friendship is a big reason Little Buckets exists, certainly a big reason we grew as fast as we did, & they certainly have made a huge impact on people making the same connection with Bucket as they do with Colton. Spreading compassion & in turn saving lives. Bucket being one of very lucky boys from the dairy industry who is getting to live his life to the fullest, now 9 1/2 years old, he was pulled from his mom at a day old & sent to auction. The only auction I have ever attended with the intent to save a life & his was that life. It was my first experience with a baby calf & so when Colton took to him as a new friend, I didn't know how special of a friendship I was going to get to witness in the years ahead & how much this friendship was going to impact my life. I became Bucket's mom but Colton became his playmate, his best friend who was there to do zoomies together but also be that guide in his life that he was missing without his mom. They looked at each other as the same & treated each other as they would have another calf for Bucket & dog for Colton. But honestly there is no difference. One is a puppy, one a grasspuppy. Same personality, same unconditional love. And even as Bucket grew, he even played in a way where Colton could still play kneeling down for her.(video to come next) As they got older, both weren't as interested in doing zoomies together but just being there for each other. Colton now 13 fighting bone cancer, Bucket fighting arthritis, I feel as if both are pulling strength from each other. And even though Bucket doesn't live in the house, it doesn't mean he is any less loved. He is my boy. He has taught me so much & he is so incredibly sweet and loving. I wish everyone could just be with him for 5 minutes as I would guarantee you would see there is no difference too.
