“IS MUSIC ABSOLUTELY HARAM? READ THIS!”
Few topics in the Muslim world create as much debate as music. Some Muslims say all music is haram without exception. Others believe music can be permissible depending on its content, purpose, and effect on the listener. So the real question is: if this issue were completely clear and absolute, why have respected Islamic scholars differed on it for centuries?
The truth is, this is a matter of khilaf — scholarly disagreement. And when scholars differ, Muslims should approach the topic with knowledge, humility, and respect instead of arrogance and endless condemnation.
Yes, there are scholars who prohibit music entirely. Their concern is understandable. A lot of modern music promotes lust, drugs, immorality, materialism, and a lifestyle that pulls people away from Allah. No sincere Muslim can deny that much of today’s entertainment industry is spiritually damaging.
But at the same time, other scholars argue that music itself is not automatically haram. According to them, what matters most is the message, the environment, and the impact it creates. Not every melody leads to corruption. Not every sound leads people away from God.
This is exactly why I create Islamic Gym Nasheeds with music.
My music is not about partying, vulgarity, or empty entertainment. It is about discipline. Strength. Self-control. Fighting laziness. Building a stronger mindset. Pushing the body to become healthier. Training hard while remembering Allah. Becoming a Muslim who is mentally and physically strong.
Many people ask me:
“Why don’t you make it without music?”
And my answer is simple:
Because that is not the artistic direction I choose to follow.
I respect those who prefer vocal-only nasheeds. Truly. But I also believe there is nothing wrong with using powerful gym-style music as a motivational tool when the content itself promotes positivity, discipline, and beneficial values.
I have studied this issue from different perspectives — especially Islamic perspectives, scholarly opinions, and religious evidences. And based on that journey, I personally do not believe music is haram in an absolute sense.
People need to understand something important:
Not every Muslim who listens to music is automatically distant from Allah.
And not every person who bans music automatically has a pure heart.
A person can listen to motivational nasheeds while staying committed to prayer, discipline, and worship. Meanwhile, another person may avoid music completely yet still struggle with arrogance, hatred, gossip, or hypocrisy. The condition of the heart matters more than simply winning arguments online.
What truly matters is this:
Does something bring you closer to goodness or closer to destruction?
If music destroys your spirituality, leads you into sin, makes you neglect your obligations, or fills your heart with darkness — then leave it.
But if something motivates you to become stronger, healthier, more disciplined, more focused, and mentally resilient while still remembering Allah, then the discussion is not as black-and-white as some people try to make it.
Islam is not against strength.
Islam is not against beauty.
Islam is not against motivation.
Islam is against corruption, excess, and anything that destroys the soul.
At the end of the day, every person will answer to Allah for their own intentions and actions — not for winning comment-section debates.
