In this Idaho Community Care Program educational webinar, we look beneath the behavior to better understand the person experiencing dementia. We learn that memory isn't just one thing - our brains use memory in many different ways. We explore: How dementia can effect more than memory. Why everyday tasks may become difficult. What behavior might be communicating. How understanding can change our response. Dementia doesn't necessarily effect every ability in the same way or at the same time. Most importantly, it does not make connection meaningless and a moment doesn't have to be remembered forever to have value.
