195 Countries Marble Race 🏆 18 Races, 1 Champion | Season 5 The Alpine Den Cup

The Alpine Den Cup Marble Descent - The Cup 195 countries. One mountain. One champion. Every country in the world drops from the summit of Alpine Den together, and only 100 make it out of the qualifier. From there it is a knockout: ten groups, four quarter-finals, two semi-finals, and a final of ten for the Cup. Pick your flag before the drop and follow it all the way down the bracket. HOW THE CUP WORKS THE QUALIFIER: all 195 countries race the whole mountain. The top 100 go through. THE GROUPS: 10 groups of 10, drawn from pots by qualifying place, so every group gets one of the ten fastest qualifiers. The top 4 in each go through. THE QUARTER-FINALS: 4 races of 10. The top 5 go through. THE SEMI-FINALS: 2 races of 10. The top 5 go through. THE FINAL: the last 10 race the whole mountain, summit to finish, for the Cup. THE RISING START: every round starts higher up the mountain than the one before. The groups race the last 1.9 km, the quarter-finals 2.7 km, the semi-finals 3.7 km, and the final the full 4.9 km. THE SWELL: in every race after the qualifier, whoever is leading GROWS - up to twice its size for as long as it holds the lead - and shrinks back the moment it loses it. A big leader is hard to get past, and hard to hide. The bracket tree before every race shows where every country stands and who they meet next. THE COURSE Alpine Den, on its own map: 4.9 km of mountain falling 1,220 m at an average grade of 25%, from the snowfields and narrow rock gullies at the top down to the green meadows of the valley floor. It takes the leaders a little over two minutes to get down it.
