Nice 2006 KONE Marine Monospace MRL T. Service Elevator/Lift 10@Cruiseferry M/S Color Magic

Happy National Day of Norway! It's numbered 10 and also has a name (Crew Lift Starboard Side Lift 10). It goes to decks 2-7 (not stopping on 4) and it's only for the staff, but a kind technician let us take a ride in it, and the three other service elevators, and we also got to surf a little bit, and film two of the elevator machine rooms! Unfortunately, we didn't get to film the four service elevators onboard the sister cruiseferry Color Fantasy last October, but we will try again in the future. There are 18 elevators, and a dumbwaiter onboard Color Line M/S Color Magic (2007). There's one elevator less on the Color Magic compared to the sister, Color Fantasy. Out of them, 5 are non-scenic passenger elevators, 1 is a non-scenic mixed-use elevator (only for the crew at sea (the corresponding elevator onboard the sister cruiseferry, Color Fantasy has M-series fixtures)), 8 are scenic passenger elevators and 4 are service/staff only elevators. The Color Magic was first constructed from August-December 2006 at Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland, and then she was escorted to the Aker Finnyards Rauma yard, and completed in September 2007. The elevator parts had been manufactured during 2006 already, and all the elevator onboard got the KSS fixtures. Also, this is after 2005, when the MacGREGOR KONE marine elevator division had been renamed to the present-day KONE Marine. All the passenger elevators (non-scenic and scenic) come with both digital and text/lamp floor indicators, and due to the high passenger flow onboard, all but the mixed-use elevators were made fast, and the KSS fixtures still have the M-series logic (the up&down romb), especially distinguishable on the scenic elevators but also on many non-scenic elevators. The service elevators are rather simple - with stainless steel walls and no lamp/text floor indicators. The cruiseferries Color Fantasy and Color Magic are both cruiseships with cardecks, and are both equipped with a 3-deck high promenade, and they were effectively based on the successful Silja Line cruiseferries, the Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony (built in 1990 and 1991, respectively), which were the first cruiseferries in the world to incorporate the promenade design (a 5-deck high promenade) and they are also cruise ships with car decks. From 1999 onwards, also the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line adopted their version of the Promenade, first on the Voyager-class cruise ships, and most recently, on the Oasis-class with different variations.
