Battalangundu Night Camping.. Battalangundu is an island surrounded by the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. This island is located 25 nautical miles from the Kalpitiya harbor jetty. It takes about three to four hours to reach the island from the Kalpitiya jetty. Battalangunduwa Island covers an area of 145.53 hectares. The distance from here to India is 111 nautical miles. There are 14 islands in the North Western Sea of Sri Lanka including Battalangunduwa.
