Episode 7 Vintage AKG D202 Dual Capsule Microphone

One of the older mics in the collection - the D202 was a clever early microphone design intended to reduce proximity effect and this is a feature of many modern mics like the SM7B, the EV RE20, 27 and 320 and others - but the D202 was doing it back in 1967! Near the end, to demonstrate the proximity effect, I speak closer and closer - I've adjusted the volume to compensate - but the distortion you can hear is simply overloading the interface preamp - sorry!
