It's been a while since my last video. A lot has happened the past 6 months. In this video I am swapping the CX Racing muffler for an Aeroturbine 3030 model muffler. If it's still louder I will add a resonator in the middle of the exhaust. Since I already have the 3030 model the 3030XL has a built in resonator that makes a moderate sound. I will add their AR330 resonator to the 3030 to get the added lower resonance I want next week. There are benefits to this style muffler besides weight and sound, what sets AERO Exhaust apart is their unique, patented Air-Foil Technology (Aeroturbine) design. The internal structure enables the incoming exhaust stream to separate as it enters the inner muffler core and rapidly expands. Next, it splits via an air-foil cone with an orifice similar to a jet engine. The outer flow velocity is accelerated due to the increased distance it must travel. The higher density inner flow stream also creates a low-pressure vacuum in the outer expansion chamber, evacuating the exhaust pulses much more efficiently. The outer flow stream accelerates as it recombines with the inner flow stream, enabling the sound waves to cancel each other out.
