Marvelous! https://twitter.com/NekoNyanSoft/stat...) Here's a little story. Our Japanese teacher had a familiar from Japan visited our school. She showed them around the school and everybody at the school had their attention on the Japanese visitors. Since our Japanese teacher is also our homeroom teacher, she then invited them to our classroom. There weren't many of us in the classroom since it was a recess period. Everybody was gathering in front of the classroom talking about the event that was unfolding. I didn't realize what was going on so I was taken aback when an unfamiliar face showed up alongside our Japanese teacher. Moreover, it was a woman. A guy behind me immediately rushed outside since he knew our Japanese teacher probably wanted someone to introduce themselves to her visitor. Yea... he was right doing so because she then asked ME to introduce myself to the Japanese visitor. "Hold on! Why would you choose me?", asked myself while waving my hands. Few girls hanging out in the classroom glared at me as if they were telling me to just... do it. Knowing there was no way out, I gave in and tried introducing myself to the best of my ability. I tried using the formal Japanese introduction like how our Japanese teacher taught us and then bowed my body slightly. Our teacher also taught us to not make direct eye contact when talking with Japanese people since according to her, they aren't really comfortable getting stared right in the eyes. I felt a surge of embarrassment because of how lame my introduction was. Everybody was watching me in silence. She simply responded back with "Hai, yoroshiku onegaishimasu" and that was it. Our Japanese teacher explained something a bit to her and then they both left the class. I stood there in silence. There was this hybrid feeling of excitement and embarrassment.
