On her 28th birthday, Kyle is determined to enjoy a special day with Kieran, her partner of four years. As they move through London together, Kieran fills their day with thoughtful surprises, affection and moments that remind Kyle of why she fell in love with him. But beneath the celebrations, something feels wrong. Kieran is distracted, unusually emotional and increasingly desperate to make the day perfect, while Kyle struggles with the familiar loneliness she has felt within their relationship.
