Los Angeles, 1958. He boarded the night bus to San Francisco expecting nothing more than a long ride home. Then she stepped aboard. A young Japanese woman with a small suitcase walked down the aisle and took the empty seat beside him. She was a stranger. At first, they exchanged only a few polite words. Then she asked about the road. He unfolded his map. They talked as Los Angeles disappeared behind them, shared coffee at a little roadside stop off Highway 101, and returned to their seats as the rest of the bus grew quiet. Somewhere in the middle of the night, she fell asleep against his shoulder. And the man who had spent the whole trip wanting to get home suddenly wished the road was longer. The journey was ending. Neither of them wanted to say goodbye. Then, before she left, she wrote something on a small piece of paper and placed it in his hand. Maybe goodbye didn't have to mean forever. Featuring two original 1950s-inspired Americana doo-wop songs: “I Wished the Road Was Longer” “Don’t Let This Be Goodbye” Two songs. One night bus. Two strangers who weren't ready for the journey to end. A fictional nostalgic love story inspired by travel, chance encounters, young love and the music of 1950s America. If a stranger you met on a journey left you a way to find them again, would you go? ❤️ 1958 America, 1950s Americana, 1950s doo wop, bus to San Francisco, stranger on a bus, San Francisco 1958, night bus romance, Highway 101, Japanese traveler, 1950s love story, vintage America, American nostalgia, young love, chance encounter, romantic doo wop, nostalgic love story, California 1958, vintage travel, memories of youth, old fashioned romance #1950s #1958 #DooWop #SanFrancisco #LoveStory #VintageAmerica #AmericanNostalgia 1950s doo wop,1950s Americana,1950s music, doo wop love songs,1958 love story, stranger on a bus,bus to San Francisco,San Francisco 1958,Highway 101,night bus,Japanese traveler,1950s romance, vintage America, nostalgic love story, oldies music, romantic doo wop, vintage love story,American nostalgia, young love, chance encounter,California 1958,I Wished the Road Was Longer,Don’t Let This Be Goodbye,Echoes of the American Dream
