The Edgar B. Speer leaves Sturgeon Bay 4/2/2014

After a slow start, the Edgar B. Speer left Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., where it had wintered, and headed out to Lake Michigan and the start of the shipping season. Still a lot of ice on the bay, which is late for this time of year. In this video, it is passing through the Michigan Street Bridge (unseen ere) and the Oregon Maple Bridge at the same time because it's so long, and will have go through a third bridge, the Bay View, before reaching the ship canal and Lake Michigan.
