Altea is widely rated one of the prettiest towns on Spain's Costa Blanca, and we had friends who live there showing us round. We came away wondering whether we could live there too. Enjoying these? If you want somewhere calmer than Benidorm on the Costa Blanca, this is the town to put on your list. It sits roughly 15 minutes from Benidorm, 45 from Alicante airport and an hour from Valencia. The beach is rocky and we say so.
