Zero Practice. First Ever Drone Flight DJI Air 3S

My literal first ever drone flight. No practice run, no secret test flight beforehand — the first takeoff in this video is the first time I've ever flown one. Armed with a DJI Air 3S and a dangerously optimistic amount of confidence, I headed out to see what I could actually do with it. Somehow that turned into tracking shots, a drone chase, losing my microphone halfway through filming, accidentally capturing some genuinely cinematic footage, finding what looks like a cracking fishing spot… and several moments that probably weren't in the DJI beginner's guide. Honestly, I expected the drone footage to be the interesting part. The whole mission ended up being better. Filmed in the Mackay region, Queensland, Australia.
