1955 John Deere 40S I Grading Driveway Fall 2021 I jd 40 I Old tractor plowing gravel I Driving pov

My new (to me) 1955 John Deere 40 S (jd 40)! First time ever grading a driveway and first time using a tractor in probably over 20 years! :) My father had a 1956 320 U (320U) when I was growing up and still does, but now he also has a newer 1025R. So this 40S brings back so many great memories for me! :) This video is about me grading our driveway with a back blade (Green Frontier RB2072). I think I should invest in a box blade with rakers or a land plane in the future maybe but we'll see... I might have made more of a mess than anything but for now, this back blade did everything I wanted it to and worked wonderfully for me! It's just a blasty blast to be outside and enjoying this o'l beauty of a machine! :) I had to cut the video short as I needed to go into town to pick up my girlfriend and my gopro was pretty much ready to die anyways. But, I hope that you enjoy the beautiful scenery, the fall colours and the great old sound of the John Deere 2 cylinder put put snorting machine! ;) As always, my dog Tikka was ready, willing and able to lend a helping hand (or paw) to supervise closely whilst leading me in the proper directions every step of the way! How else am I supposed to know where to drive??? lol I still don't know who was more excited about it - me or her! lol Tikka is believed to be a mix (unknown for sure as she was a rescue) between German Shepard and Collie and will be turning 7 years old in March of 2022.
