Drone Breakthrough: High-Speed Navigation in Total Darkness | Livox Mid-360 LiDAR

A new milestone in drone autonomy! The MaRS Lab team at the University of Hong Kong has introduced SUPER (Safety-Assured High-Speed Navigation for MAVs) in their latest Science Robotics paper. This drone system achieves autonomous flight at speeds over 20 m/s in unknown environments. Thanks to the Mid-360 LiDAR, SUPER can efficiently detect and avoid thin obstacles like wires, and even navigate autonomously in complete darkness.
