Civil society groups call for Najib to remain behind bars

A group of 47 civil society organisations has called for Najib to serve the remainder of his sentence behind bars. The call comes amid reports that the Federal Territories Pardons Board will meet this Friday to discuss Najib’s pardon bid. In a press conference today, they questioned why Najib’s case should be prioritised when many other prisoners are still waiting for opportunities to seek pardons.
