𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘅𝘀𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 On Saturday evening, 10 October 2026, The Salvation Army, Felixstowe began a very special weekend celebrating 140 years of serving God and the community in Felixstowe. The Band, under the leadership of Simon Scott, performed 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, a stirring composition specially written by Dean Jones for the Band's 130th anniversary. It was a particularly moving moment during the evening, as the congregation recognised and joined in with familiar hymn melodies woven into the music, including 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘴, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦 and 𝘞𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺. The composition beautifully captured the faith, dedication and Christian witness that have characterised The Salvation Army’s ministry in Felixstowe over the past 140 years. The service marked the start of a wonderful celebration weekend, with special guests including 𝘛𝘔𝘚 ‘𝘈 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘴’ 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘳, led by Andrew Blyth, Commissioner Jenine Main, and the Mayor of Felixstowe, Councillor Darren Aitchison. It was a truly spirit-filled evening of music, fellowship and thanksgiving, celebrating the past, rejoicing in the present and looking forward with faith to all that God has planned for the future. 🙏 To God be the glory for 140 years of faithful service in Felixstowe! ⭕️ Salvation Army, Felixstowe Website https://www.felixsa.org.uk/ ⭕️ Salvation Army, Felixstowe Facebook   / felixstowesa   ⭕️ Salvation Army, Felixstowe Instagram   / salvationarmyfelixstowe   ⭕️ Salvation Army, Felixstowe Linktree https://linktr.ee/fxsa
