The series brings these tracks to new ears and a new generation of listeners who may have missed them the first time around. Many are simply out of print and otherwise unavailable. Volume 1 focuses on Dan’s remixes of three James Kumo tracks: Space Dancer, I Understand, and Yellow. Two of the remixes originally appeared on EPs released via Dan’s own Metamorphic Recordings, while the third came out on James Kumo’s imprint KMusic (also styled K Music / K-Music). All three are now collected and made available together for the first time through Funkalectual Music. The Space Dancer remix appears under Curtin’s Planetary alias as “Planetary’s What Happens In Orbit Stays In Orbit Remix,” while I Understand features “Dan Curtin’s Smooth As Space Mix.”
