The game is Fears of Fathom: scratch creek Dave and I are back at it again —on another side adventure, wandering into the strange, creepy woods of Scratch Creek, one of the most surprisingly fun co‑op horror games we’ve played in a long time. We’ve both been working, grinding, doing the day‑to‑day stuff like everyone else, so getting a chance to sit down, breathe a little, and jump into a spooky game together feels like the perfect reset. There’s something really comforting about playing a chill but creepy co‑op game after a long day, and Scratch Creek hits that balance in a way that makes it easy to get lost in the moment. As we get closer to Halloween, we’re trying to ease into the season with games that feel atmospheric, weird, and just spooky enough to get us in the mood without being overwhelming. Scratch Creek ended up being exactly that. The vibe is eerie, the world feels off in a way that keeps you curious, and the co‑op moments are honestly some of the best we’ve had in a horror game. There’s this mix of exploration, tension, and goofy “what are we doing?” energy that makes every session feel like its own little adventure. It’s the kind of game where you and your friend can laugh, get startled, and still feel like you’re discovering something together. We love doing these side adventures because they remind us why we started f.c.l.g. in the first place — just two people who enjoy gaming, storytelling, and sharing those moments with everyone who hangs out with us. Whether you’re watching during a break, after work, before bed, or while you’re chilling on the weekend, we appreciate you being here. We know life gets busy, and sometimes you just want something easy to watch that feels like you’re hanging out with friends. That’s the energy we try to bring every time we hit record. Scratch Creek has quickly become one of our favorite co‑op horror experiences this year. The atmosphere is thick, the sound design is unsettling in a good way, and the pacing keeps you engaged without stressing you out. It’s rare to find a horror game that feels both fun and relaxing, but this one manages to pull it off. We really hope more developers make games like this — simple, creepy, co‑op adventures that let you explore weird places with your friends and get a few scares along the way. If more horror games drop with this kind of vibe, the Halloween season is going to be incredible. We’re excited to keep the spooky momentum going as October gets closer. We’ve got more horror games lined up, more co‑op chaos planned, and more side adventures we want to explore. If you enjoy chill horror gameplay, weird indie titles, or just hanging out with us while we figure out what the heck is going on in these strange worlds, you’re in the right place. Grab a snack, relax, and enjoy the ride with us. Thanks for being here, thanks for supporting FuncoLand Gamers, and thanks for spending part of your day with us. We hope this Scratch Creek adventure gives you a little break from the grind and gets you in the Halloween spirit. Let’s keep the spooky season rolling.
