Oh, grief like flower and haven Oh, the grief like flowers’ Eden Sweet like the lover’s heart Oh like chain of stars’ part. 1): In sorrow, when hope exists What intoxication does it persists? In proudness, and the wish it has what a strange spark it consists? Of joy and wailing’s tune Your melody’s rune 2):In your dark paths, when little light rise Becomes stars in blaze fires, Gathered around by beauty. Oh intoxication of insanity Oh grief so nice is your ecstacy I was blind, you gave me sight Then again turned me blind, Which is why life now doesn’t seem lively to me. When at last wailing Ghani leaves Torn the shroud from beloveds’ veil 3):You’re my companion of years The symbol of my sweetheart You are the witness to my troth You’re the name of my beloved Sweet like the lover’s heart Oh Like chain of stars’ part.
