Lady Godiva rides at Beddau Carnival

There was great excitement and disagreement in 1961 when it was announced that Lady Godiva would ride in the annual Beddau Carnival. However a brief clip of the actual event suggests that the 'ride' wasn't as historically accurate as many had feared! Roedd cryn gyffro a thrafod yn 1961 pan ddatgelwyd fod 'Lady Godiva' am farchogaeth yn noeth drwy strydoedd Beddau yn ystod y carnifal blynyddol. Mae clip byr o'r digwyddiad foddbynnag yn awgrymu nad oedd y dehongliad mor 'hanesyddol gywir' ac yr oedd nifer wedi ei ofni! Mae'r hawlfraint i'r archif yn berchen i ITV Cymru/Wales.
