Deepwater Horizon (2016) - Great Grandma Reacts - First Time Watching

Hi everyone, thank you for watching! This time I watched Deepwater Horizon (2016) for the very first time, and I honestly wasn't prepared for just how emotional and intense it would be. From the very beginning I found myself completely drawn into the story, and once things started going wrong I was gasping almost constantly. I couldn't believe how many warning signs were ignored, and it was so frustrating to watch people making decisions that put so many lives at risk. It left me feeling shocked and quite upset. One of the biggest surprises for me was discovering that this film is based on a real disaster. I genuinely couldn't believe I had never heard about the Deepwater Horizon tragedy before. Knowing that these events really happened made every explosion and every heartbreaking moment even more difficult to watch. I was also amazed by the sheer size of the oil rig. I had no idea they were that enormous, and it gave me a whole new appreciation for the people who work on them every day. It must take incredible courage to do a job like that, especially in such dangerous conditions. Watching the explosions, the fire, the oil pouring into the sea, and seeing the terrible consequences for everyone involved was heartbreaking. My heart went out to the workers and to all of the families affected by the disaster. It really made me think about how quickly everything can change when safety is overlooked. Even though it was a very difficult film to watch at times, I thought it was incredibly well made. It kept me completely invested from beginning to end, and I felt a great deal of respect for the bravery shown by so many people during such an unimaginable tragedy.
