Elwynn Forest: Where Every Human Hero Began | WoW Lore

Elwynn Forest (Classic Era) looks peaceful. It has been burned once already. This is the story of Stormwind's heartland, told by Osric, a chronicler of the Bronze Dragonflight. From Faldir's founding of Stormwind and the Gnoll War, to Lothar's charge and the sack of Goldshire in the First War, to the unpaid stonemasons who became the Defias Brotherhood. Then we walk the Classic human leveling path: Northshire Abbey, Goldshire, the farms and mines, Eastvale, and Westbrook Garrison, with Hogger waiting at Forest's Edge. Sources: World of Warcraft: Chronicle Vols. 1–2, plus Classic quest and NPC text. Light spoilers only. If this tale helped you see the forest with new eyes, please like the video, and share it with a friend just starting out. And leave a comment below... Tell me your memories of Elwynn. Your first step out of Northshire. Your first run from Hogger.
