UNDERGROUND WONDERS - Melbourne's last DC power source - Russell Place substation.

A spectacular underground installation, this was the last Melbourne source of reticulated DC power for the city, up to the time the last DC supplies were decommissioned in 2003. Most of the original equipment is still in place, for these occasional public displays.
