The top of the mix rings rather than shimmers, bright and metallic against a cello line that stays dark the whole way through. The breaks underneath run fast and liquid at 170 BPM, soft-edged enough that the speed reads as detail instead of aggression. Then the 909 settles into half-time and the ground moves without the tempo moving with it — the breaks keep their pace, the weight just arrives half as often and twice as hard.
