Lee Miller, a traditional boot maker out of Austin Texas, joined us for an episode of our Makers series. Not only is Lee a wealth of information, as well as an exceptional boot maker. Each and every part of the boot is hand-made and done in a traditional Texas way. Lee served under the tutelage of Charlie Dunn, the previous owner of Texas Traditions, who was lovingly known as the "Michelangelo of cowboy boots". As Charlie Dunn retired from boot making, Lee purchased, and continues to run Texas Traditions as a boot maker, and leading a group of apprentices through proper training on how to make a traditional boot. More than any of Lee's accomplishments and accolades, he prides himself in doing things the right way, and that may not always be the easiest way, but it will always be the right way.
