Welcome to my 0.22-acre Florida garden, where I grow 40+ fruit trees and more than 40 mango varieties, many grafted onto existing trees! 🌳🥭
🌿 My August tips for a tiny-space fruit garden:
✂️ PRUNE mango trees after harvest to control size and encourage healthy new growth.
🌱 GRAFT in May or August to grow several mango varieties on a single tree.
🌳 COMBINE VARIETIES on existing trees instead of planting a new tree for every variety.
🍊🥭🍋 PLAN YOUR HARVEST SEASONS — choose early, mid- and late-season varieties so your garden produces fruit for as many months as possible.
💧 COLLECT RAINWATER and reuse what nature gives you.
♻️ COMPOST kitchen and garden waste to feed your soil naturally.
🍂 MULCH, MULCH, MULCH! It helps retain moisture, improve the soil and protect roots in Florida heat.
Tiny property doesn’t mean a tiny orchard! 🌴🥭 The secret is using vertical space, grafting multiple varieties, controlling tree size and planning every planting spot wisely.
