WG1/WG2 Hardware/Software - Graduate & Postgraduate Student Symposium 2026

This symposium brings together graduate and postgraduate researchers to present recent advances in Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) and related magnetic nanoparticle technologies, with a particular focus on hardware development, system characterization, and signal processing. The presentations explore experimental MPI system calibration, magnetic nanoparticle heating using hybrid MFH/MPS systems, mixing-frequency MPI with advanced reconstruction algorithms, and signal denoising techniques for improved detection sensitivity. Further topics include signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) characterization of MPI scanners and performance evaluation using dynamic dilution platforms. Through these contributions, the symposium highlights emerging approaches to improving MPI instrumentation, measurement accuracy, and imaging performance while fostering scientific exchange among early-career researchers in the MPI community.
