Would You Lose Everything for Your Faith? Neal McDonough Did

Neal McDonough says he was fired from an ABC drama in 2010 for refusing to kiss his co-star, and then spent roughly two years out of work. This video follows what he says happened next: the lost house and cars, the lowest night of his life, and the phone call from Graham Yost about Justified that, by his account, came a minute later. We also look at the pattern behind his career, which we call the Villain Tax. That label is our read, not his, and he calls himself blessed. Then comes the offer to play Satan in The Shift, his first answer of no, and the person he says changed his mind: his wife, Ruvé. Finally, we cover how he played the devil, why he says it was a warning and not a trophy, and how he built his own path with The Last Rodeo, which he wrote and produced with Ruvé.
