Mahindra calls it the Sonic Studio experience, and on paper it should deliver a genuinely immersive, concert-like audio experience. But many owners are still confused about one simple question: How do you actually get Dolby Atmos Music to work in the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e? In this video, I explain and demonstrate the complete Dolby Atmos setup — including Gaana, Dolby Music, SSD playback and the amplifier firmware update that many owners may not even know they need to check. IMPORTANT: How Dolby Music works in Mahindra EVs One of the biggest misconceptions is that you can simply play Dolby Atmos Music from your phone and send it to the car through Bluetooth, Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. That isn't how the Dolby Atmos Music experience is implemented in the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Mahindra and Dolby's implementation uses Dolby Atmos Music through the integrated Gaana experience in the vehicle. In this video, I show the correct route through the built-in infotainment system and explain the confusion between Gaana accessed through the car's audio sources and Gaana accessed through the Mahindra Fun & Work interface. Using an SSD for Dolby Music I also demonstrate how to use an external SSD containing Dolby Music with the Mahindra BE 6 / XEV 9e.
