"Here are the demo versions of all the songs (except one) from Five Iron's album "Engine of a Million Plots". The track "I've Seen the Sun" is not included because Dennis did that one and I don't have the demo. Please excuse the keyboard horns, programmed drums, and me trying to sing way the hell out of my range.
Some of the songs sound pretty different melody-wise while others remained largely intact from these demo versions. Reese vastly improved the melodies for Into Your Veins and Someone Else's Problem, for example.
As for the lyrics, most of them were not intended to be the actual words. They were placeholders for Reese to write to* and were usually stream of consciousness, ranging anywhere from a decent start to complete nonsense. Also, you'll notice a lot of the second verses are the same as the first, since the point was simply to demonstrate the melodies.
*A couple of notable exceptions. Blizzards and Bygones was and is a song that means a lot to me and I asked that if we do a Five Iron version of it we keep the words as is. Silence/ASOT was another one with lyrics that were meaningful to me, but I was also ok with those being rewritten. Reese also chose to keep certain phrases from other songs intact, but that was his call.
Hope you guys enjoy listening to these early demos. It's been fun for me to go back and listen to them again.

I do not own these songs. If by request any owner of these songs wants this taken down, I will follow through.
