intro 2 🇸🇷 diaspora electronic dance music + some geschiedenis | Right Moments 012

During ADE I held a lecture about the overlooked contribution of Surinamese DJs and producers to Dutch House Music. This installment of Right Moments is a companion to the presentation. It navigates the past and weaves in the exciting present. One recurring thing among all DJs throughout time was their love for all sorts of music. They were always tapped in with several genres. Amsterdam South-East (Bijlmer) played an important role in developing the sound(s). So this is a little ode to the SMIB, too (in Dutch). Big S/O to all the dope producers out there. Then and now.
