Build your own SEO toolkit from scratch free and open source. In this step-by-step tutorial you install OpenSEO locally with Docker, configure it, test it, then deploy it to a public server, and tour every feature: keyword research, site audits, rank tracking, backlinks, and AI visibility. Every step shows the real screen, the real command, and the real result no skipped steps. What you need: Docker, Git, a free DataForSEO account, an internet connection, and a few gigabytes of free disk space. Good to know before you start: OpenSEO itself is free forever (MIT license). The search data comes from DataForSEO: new accounts get $1 of free test credit, then a $50 minimum top-up — you pay DataForSEO directly, OpenSEO never takes your card. In local mode OpenSEO has no login screen. Never expose it publicly without authentication in front of it. The public URL shown in this video is a temporary demo tunnel. For permanent hosting, use a VPS and your own domain.
