5 Old School Tools in Grandpa's Shed Nobody Can Name Anymore

This summer, my youngest granddaughter came into my shop and asked me what some of the old tools hanging on my wall were. She simply didn't know. So I asked all four of my grandchildren to name five of them. Not one could. My grandmother Vessie could have named every tool in that shed. She knew what they were, what they did, and why they mattered. The tools are still here. What's disappearing is the knowledge behind them. In this story, I'll show you five old tools—the Traveller, Slick, Scorp, Peavey, and Froe—and tell you what they were made to do, the history behind them, and why these simple pieces of iron and wood still matter.
