It's so peak.
With how much I've spent around with this game, I decided to finally go for this, and got it in like... 2 days of practice. Once again not as difficult as most official games, but it's definitely harder than all the fangame LNBs I've done so far, I feel. Slightly stricter stage routing 100% contributes to that, IMO.
That said, because I've also spent so much messing around with this game, there's bound to be stuff that's... off. Namely, some spell histories, since I had just ported my score file from the old PC to the new one, where I had lag back then, so some hard spells might have a higher cap rate than I'd normally do nowadays, as well as me messing around on some spell cards doing stupid stuff, namely on Hatsuna's Reverse Rising Arrow and Ruri's Wall of Aegis. This is because the game takes the spell history of not only all shots across the board, but also in runs, Stage Practice and Spell Practice all alike into one.
Anyway, kinda sloppy here and there (end of Stage 1 where I misplaced Tojiko, and the deaths in Stages 3 and 5), but other than this, I am satisfied with my performance, as all other deaths are half-expected. (Man FUCK Himemiko's first non...)
I am happy to finally do this kind of run for RSS, as it is still one of my favorite Touhou shmup fangames, and one of the two (alongside SoHW) that properly introduced me to the shmup fangame scene, and as a result is... kinda responsible for shaping me as a person in the past 5 years, if that makes sense? As such, this game means a fair bit to me.
I guess also, a big thank you to DarkPermafrost, whose LNN run from what feels like forever ago is what made me want to stick to FutoB for all these years of playing this game (unless it's Overdrive), and served as a great run to take strats from. (Shoutouts to the Tarumi 3rd non strat.)
Also, I'm finally using the English patch for this game, I guess. It took me like 5 years for a friend of mine to ask me if I was using the correct version of the patch, because it would always crash on me before.
I was not.
