Biologists Finally Found What's Hunting Bobcats in Pennsylvania — And It Shouldn't Be Possible

Deep in the hemlock country of Warren, McKean, and Elk counties, trappers keep finding adult bobcats dead — dragged, cached, and fed on over several nights. There’s no bullet, no trap mark, no car damage. Just two small punctures at the base of the skull, and they’re far too narrow to belong to any of the predators people name first. What biologists found when they finally put these cats on a table rewrites the pecking order of the Pennsylvania woods — and points at something nobody expects.
