U.S. President Donald Trump signaled the trade war with Canada could soon be resolved. In Ireland Saturday, Trump weighed in on some key issues that may be driving his dismal approval ratings as he works to strengthen Republican support ahead of November’s midterm elections. Candice Cole reports. It didn't take long for Trump to stir up some controversy on the first day of his Ireland trip, either. How? He told reporters in Dublin he would love to see a “unified” Ireland. Vincent McAviney reports on the impromptu comments and the swift rebuttal from locals and many in Northern Ireland. A long-running dispute over Indigenous identity has come to a head in Newfoundland and Labrador. The federal government has cut ties with a group seeking recognition as Indigenous rights holders. The NunatuKavut Community Council (NCC) represents roughly 6,000 people in central and southern Labrador and has been fighting for years for land, hunting and fishing rights despite not being recognized by other Indigenous organizations and communities.
