Brook Trout Fly Fishing | Beautiful Fall Colors & Spawning Brookies

Nothing says fall like fishing for beautiful Brook Trout! Brookies are fall spawners, and when they put on their incredible fall colors, you can see exactly why they are such a favorite among fly fishermen. Brook Trout can also be voracious predators and will readily attack larger streamers like Woolly Buggers and sculpin/minnow patterns. If you prefer spinning gear, Rooster Tails can be very effective as well. A black-and-yellow Rooster Tail is one of my friend’s favorites—and a proven color for Brook Trout. Whatever method you prefer, Brook Trout should definitely be on your fall fishing list.
