Arthropods fulfill critical roles in pollination, decomposition, pest control and even seed dispersal. Some of these, such as the decomposition and recycling of dead matter and waste our services that most people happily leave to the insects. Insects also provide many commercial products that are widely used by people. We've already discussed the global demand for honey and other bee products like beeswax, pollen and royal jelly.
