At midnight, the music box opened by itself. For decades, it had remained untouched inside an abandoned bedroom. Its wooden surface was covered in dust. Its golden key no longer turned. And the tiny porcelain ballerina inside had not moved in years. Then the melody began. The ballerina slowly turned. Once. Twice. Again. With every waltz, something in the room changed. The portraits seemed to watch. The mirror reflected movements that had not happened yet. And the porcelain figure inside the box began to look less like a doll. Near the final dance, the mechanism stopped. But the ballerina continued moving. When morning arrived, the music box was still open. It was empty. This dark gothic waltz journey follows the awakening of the antique music box, the porcelain ballerina, the impossible reflections and the final rotation before silence returns.
