Mike Evans Had the Greatest TAUNT Ever — Mark Schlereth

Mike Evans showed up in a big way against Seattle, and Mark “Stink” Schlereth can’t stop talking about it. Evans caught seven passes, and Stink says he wasn’t open on a single one of them. That’s the story of this 49ers win, and it says a lot about what Evans brings to this offense. Stink went back and studied both sides of the ball. He explains why a receiver who is “completely covered” in the NFL can still be a huge weapon when he’s bigger and stronger than the defender, boxes him out, and has great hands. He also gets into Brock Purdy’s fearlessness and why throwing to a covered Evans was no problem at all. Stink also shares one of the best taunts he’s ever seen, which he rewound 22 times, and says Evans has what it takes to be one of the top signings of the offseason, even if he doesn’t run as well as he used to. Topics discussed include: Mike Evans catching seven passes without ever being open The 28-yard sideline catch that Stink says was “completely covered” Evans’ two touchdowns and his size and strength advantage Brock Purdy’s fearless approach to throwing to covered receivers One of the greatest taunts Stink has ever seen The last drive and whether Seattle should have double teamed Evans What Purdy could do with an elite receiver group Is Mike Evans the best offseason pickup in the NFL?
